Romeo and Juliet had it easier. They came from warring families who clearly drew a line for them not to cross. It wasn’t the same with Easton and Georgia. They came from a town where family was precious and moments were cherished. Still, there were unspoken rules, such as not falling for your best friends kid sister—or testing troubled hearts.
The losses Easton and Georgia endured at a young age tossed them down separate paths, far from the sleepy town they both had roots within.

Now, broken roads and bad decisions were the demons in their pasts—choices that would either draw them together, or rip them apart when chance landed them face to face once more.

“I tend to attract the broken.”
“I’m not broken,” Easton snapped in a hiss of words.
She felt her body tense before her next bold words came. “Did I say you were?” She lifted her chin. “Am I attracting you, Easton Ballantine?”
He looked right at her, green to blue, a stare reaching past the fraudulent calm surface. Yes, she was. Which only pissed him off more. Not only was she not anywhere near his type, she was Memphis’s kid sister, Lucas’s daughter—she was seventeen. No way in hell this is going down.
He smirked to break the gaze they shared, to put a wall between her and him—to do anything to block the way she was messing with his head.
“I’m every kind of bad habit you don’t want or need, Georgia.”

The fun non boring Bio 🙂
I’m an obsessive daydreamer. Lover of loud alternative music. Addicted to Red Bull. I love to laugh until it hurts. Fall is my favorite season. Black is my favorite ‘shade.’ Strong believer in the saying: there is a reason for everything, therefore I search for ‘marked moments’ every moment of everyday…and I find them. Life is beautiful!

Boring one….
Jamie Magee has always believed that each of us have a defining gift that sets us apart from the rest of the world, she has always envied those who have known from their first breath what their gift was. Not knowing hers, she began a career in the fast paced world of business. Raising a young family, and competing to rise higher in that field would drive some to the point of insanity, but she always found a moment of escape in a passing daydream. Her imagination would take her to places she’d never been, introduce her to people she’s never known. Insight, her debuting novel, is a result of that powerful imagination. Today, she is grateful that not knowing what defined her, led her on a path of discovery that would always be a part of her.

Redefined 1 Redefined 2

As Charlie tries to comprehend the agonizing grief that is engulfing her soul she realizes that her entire life was an orchestration designed to protect her from the evil that is hunting her now. Before Charlie can begin to comprehend the unspeakable danger that is on the horizon she must first overcome old fallacies and faltering bonds between the souls she holds closest to her heart. Within the mist of this chaotic transformation that brings demise to old revelations and births new allies Charlie can only grasp two certainties. The first: nothing will ever be the same again. The second: battles that she has won are nothing compared to the perilous war that awaits her.

Will Charlie be able to withstand this war before her when everyone and everything she has ever known has been redefined?

My Rating: 5 stars

I am assuming that if you are reading this review, that you have read my review on enflame, if not, you might want to check that one out first, to understand my complete and utter adoration of these books, and this author. But I just wanted to put this one out there to say that none of these books have let me down yet, and Redefined was no exception. Charlie and the gang continue to amaze me through out these books, with a new plot twist around every page.

Overall: Great book, great story, please buy these books, they are utter perfection!!

Enflame by Jamie Magee

Goodreads Synopsis: Return to the world of Insight with ENFLAME, the sixth installment of the addictive story that brings you to the forefront of your darkest fears and cradles you in the belief that each of us has our own divine fate.

Enflame opens breaths after the final chapter of Vindicate. Both Landen and Willow are rocked with unthinkable grief as they struggle to find their balance in the wake of Mars deadly trial.

The Realm showed no mercy on this fated couple. Landen’s mind was awakened; a past that he’d rather not remember was revealed to his soul. Giving the darker side of his peaceful being no choice but to seize control and give birth to a fierce warrior, who vows to show no mercy, as he fights for those he has sworn to guide and protect.

These new found revelations bring forth more than a dark awareness. Old souls from a fiery past come forth and reveal how tightly they are woven into the curse that torments Landen and Willow’s every breath. These admissions threaten the foundation of this ordained couple – invoking emotions that are deeper and darker than any past conflict this pair has faced thus far.

Within this jaded confluence both Landen and Willow must refocus their strengths, overcome heated emotions, and weather through the karmic law of life. The only thing standing in their way is scornful jealousies and wrathful grudges that have the influence to either empower them under the commanding rays of Jupiter or divide two souls that are created to be one. With seized breath, those that have placed their faith in this dynamic couple wait for their future to unfold.

In case you didn’t know, THE WEB OF HEARTS AND SOULS SERIES IS MY FAVORITE FREAKING SERIES OF ALL TIME!! There are, I believe, eight series combined into one large series to make up The Web of Hearts and Souls. I am marathoning the remaining books I have left in the series, through February 10th when Exaltation comes out. This book completely lived up to my expectations. The plot is so carefully planned out and beautiful, that sometimes I have to just set the book down, shut my eyes and marvel at Jamie’s writing. There isn’t much I can say about this book other than get your butt off my blog and buy these books. You can read a part of the series on it’s own but here is the suggested reading order for the whole series, only including the books currently out:

Reading Order of Web of Hearts and Souls from Bottom to Top

January Wrap up!

Since it’s the end of January, I thought it would be a good idea to post what I have read this month. I know I haven’t posted any reviews for this month, hopefully I can get up bunch up for these soon, but I am not sure. Without further blabbing, here you go:

The Lost by James Patterson

the lost

I absolutely love this series, and I can’t believe I finally have to say goodbye to Whit, Wisty, and all the other amazing characters in this book. I hopefully will reread it some time.

The Jewel by Amy Ewing

the jewel

This was part of my Epic Reads Challenge for this month. OH MY GOD THAT ENDING!!!! Such a freaking cliff hanger! When the hell is the next book coming out I need it!!

Strange and Ever After by Susan Dennard

strange and ever after

Another heart wrenching ending to a series. I cried for hours over this book!

Enflame by Jamie Magee

I am currently reading Redefined by Jamie Magee, I am about 70% done with it, so yay! What did you all read this month??

Top Five Tuesday: Series

I have trouble picking out a single favorite books so here are a a list of SOME of my favorite series (keep in mind it’s late where I live so my brain shut down).

1.) Web of Hearts and Souls series by Jamie Magee

The Web of Hearts and Souls series includes three seperate series: The Insight series, The See series, and the Rivulet series. Linked at the bottom are the first three books in the series on good reads. Insight and See are free on the kindle, and I believe Kobo and Nook as well, but I am not sure about the last two, so there are links to purchase them from amazon as well.

2.) The Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout

If you have read any of my posts in the last week, then you know that I have been obsessively binge reading this series. The concept is new and the plot is great, with funny, complex, and relatable characters. Love Love Love this series. The first book, Obsidian was also free on the kindle when I bought it, so the link for it on amazon and on goodreads is below (though I am not sure is it still on sale).

3.) The Infernal Devices Trilogy by Cassandra Clare

The Infernal Devices (and any other Cassie Clare books) are must-reads. I am in love with both Will Herondale and Jem Carstairs. The World is wonderfuland beautifully constructed. Tessa is an amazing main character. This series is an all around amazing series, though the last book is definitley a tear- jerker… The link to the first book on goodreads is below.

4.) Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

I wasn’t a huge fan of Vampire Academy, but I extremely enjoyed reading about Sydney, Adrian, and the gang in California. I personally found the story more interesting, and I adore the characters in this series. They are perfect, but also flawed and just UGGG, too amazing for words.

5.) The Maximum Ride Series by James Patterson

I feel like I have to throw this one in there because, this is the series that got me into reading, though I would only recommend to middle-grade readers, because I feel like if I picked it up now, I wouldn’t like it as much as I did originally, since I am used to higher level storylines. But WARNING this series was originally a trilogy, then it was supposed to end with eight books, and now there is a ninth book coming out in January. This series may NEVER end, though I am excited to read the newest installment: Maximum Ride Forver (I know it’s a stupid title), I know that many are way less than enthusiastic about reopening a well wrapped up storyline.

So those were a list of a couple of my favorite series, I know I missed a lot of them, but those were the first ones that popped into my head when I thought favorites. Tell me what some of your favorite series were in the comment sections below, and I hope to see you next time.
