Synopsis from Goodreads: After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.
Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother–or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.

I hate to say this, because I know many people enjoyed this book, and maybe this is because it was so hyped up, but I didn’t like this one. I thought that it dragged for a lot of it, and the main character was annoying. Also, whenever I started to like where it was headed, it switched the point of view. Half of the point of view characters I didn’t even like, so it was hard for me to get into. I think the only reason I finished it is because I kept hoping it would get better, but it sadly did not. I have heard so many people raving about this book, so if you wanted to read it, don’t let me stop you, but it just didn’t do it for me.
